Catherine McGinn, Director Catherine McGinn is a highly motivated individual with boundless creative energy. An experienced writer with a Masters in Journalism and a BA Honours Degree in English Literature from Queen's University, Belfast, she began her career in Dublin and later returned to Belfast to work in public relations with Inform and Aiken Communications. In 2000 she married and moved to Rostrevor and following a number of years working for other PR firms, she decided to set up her own agency in 2001 to service the growing Newry area, later formalising the PR and editorial services she offered by launching Mac Public Relations. MAC Public Relations provides editorial services for corporate publications and consumer magazines and Catherine has a wealth of experience in this area. As a trained journalist with PR expertise, Catherine understands how to communicate client messages in a way that consumers/business will pay attention to. Previous work includes acting as launch editor for Northern Ireland Pure Home magazine and freelance editorial consultant for Getting Married in Northern Ireland bridal magazine. She also edited Engergie (Phoenix Natural Gas customer title) and Express It (Aer Arann Express inflight magazine). Catherine regularly writes for the Ulster Bank and her work has appeared in national and local press, trade and specialist titles and on financial websites. She also recently worked alongside Invest Northern Ireland to write a website and series of fact sheets tailored to supporting young entrepreneurs. |
